Randy Queen brings nearly 20 years of commitment to serving the youth of Roanoke County. As the Lead School Psychologist for Roanoke County Public Schools, he has provided school-based healthcare to thousands of students across the area. He is passionately dedicated to delivering and championing comprehensive school psychological services, ensuring a nurturing environment within educational settings.

With a profound understanding of the importance of mental health, Randy actively engages in suicide prevention and mental health awareness initiatives. He has undergone specialized training to certify others in mental health awareness and suicide prevention via Mental Health First Aid, safeTALK, and QPR. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Randy proudly holds the title of Virginia Association of School Psychologists School Psychologist of the Year for the 2023-2024 term.

Randy holds a BS from Emory & Henry College and an Ed.S in School Psychology from Radford University. Randy, together with his wife Crystal and their twin children, actively participates in the Roanoke swim community. They wholeheartedly support the enduring positive values and love for swimming fostered by Louis Tudor, which continue to thrive within the Roanoke swim community
